Abigail

My niece is as adorable as it gets.  Future model maybe? Using Photoshop CS3 I used selective color to bring out a green earthy tone to make the picture more ‘summery’ and fresh!

Nature Walk

Leading to the railroad tracks…I couldn’t help but sulk in nostalgia.  As a ‘kid’ everything was an adventure; railroad tracks were my favorite.  I always imagined the places they led to and the people on board the train that await their destinations.  Now that I’ve grown up the thoughts of people and the places they are always in a rush to never left my mind.  I believe everyone has some sort of story and always an interesting one to a destination.

Have a Seat

A little stroll through Gresham’s Down Town– I decided to snap this picture.

Using curves in Adobe Photoshop CS3 i contrasted the blue to bring out how bitterly cold it was on this December day.

Worship

A youth conference in California. This picture captures the passion young teens have in worship.

I really love how the background lyrics stand out then the hands are dark shows how they are connecting with the words.

Innocence

This was one of the kids at an orphanage the church visited during our trip to Ukraine. He and his sister were at the orphanage together but I caught a moment when she was away to take some pictures of him alone. I sat there for about 5 minutes snapping pictures of him while he at some wafers.

Life is better in color?

Life is better in color?

This is a picture of me, that I took of myself (a self portrait) and also I did some editing.

Gray Scaled then colored in the reflection of my sunglasses.

Mission-Mexico

Heartbreak

Me and my church youth group are very involved in ministry. We travel to Moldavia, Russia, Germany and Mexico. Recently we made a trip to Mexico to help out the young orphaned children. We spent one hour a day at the daycare to take care of the younger children while the mothers would go out to work in the fields. There were a lot of seven to eight year olds taking care of babies, and it was really heartbreaking. We would give them toys, food, essentials for hygiene and of course their favorite, CANDY :)  We would wake up as early as 6 am to go pick up the kids on a really old van where they would sit in the back on cushions. At the daycare we would sing songs in spanish about Jesus to the children and show them picture books based on the bible. By the end of the week they were really sad to see us go, and it was hard to say goodbye. These children barely have anything to live on and yet they are so grateful for a piece of candy and they praise and sing songs of worship to God. They have inspired me to have a different outlook on my life.

FAMILY

Family Matters

My sisters husband is actually and amateur photographer.

During a recent family BBQ he was snapping some photos.
This is a photo of me and one of my nieces and nephews.

I have a total of 8 nieces and nephews.
That’s right 8. I love them all dearly.

This is just a quick example of beauty captured through the creativity of an aspiring photographer.
