Abigail

My niece is as adorable as it gets.  Future model maybe? Using Photoshop CS3 I used selective color to bring out a green earthy tone to make the picture more ‘summery’ and fresh!

Trend Report Update!

spring2009

I found some really great trends for Spring 2009. Check out style.com for the full Fashion Report you do not want to miss. Can’t wait to see what the summer brings. Also i found this quote to be awfully interesting:
Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.
-Oscar Wilde
Irish dramatist, novelist, & poet (1854 – 1900)

What do you think about this quote?

Spring 2009 Makeup

I’m loving Aaron de May for Lancome! Brighter colors, much more fun. Lancome’s Irrevelance collection for Spring 2009 is all about hot pink lips and black sparkles. Look at that nail polish! I’m also excited about this new liquid liner by Lancome called Laque Liner, available in Piha Black and Piha Sparkle (transparent sparkling liner). “Rocker chic” will be it for Spring 2009.

Spring 2009 Trend Report

Spring is just around the corner and it might be here before you have time to fill your closet with these collections!
First look over Paris Fashion Week collections of Spring 2009:

Asymmetric: long/short trail-y gowns irreverent called ‘mullet dresses’.

Embroidery: glitz at Paris is given by bejeweled embroidery from rock chic to subtly aristocratic.

Hosiery: I have a weak spot for sheer, delicate stockings/tights that show up a fine leg. Sheer black, white, lace and two tones/ombre are Paris spring 2009 trends.

Jumpsuit: this fashion trend isn’t going anywhere; in fact it has every chance of becoming a wardrobe basic. Flattering, elegant and alluring, spring 2009 jumpsuits have daring décolletage and up-to-the-minute carrot pants.

Lace: traditional lace, almost with a vintage look gives the romantic vibe for spring. What’s more feminine than a lacy dress, anyway?

Leather jacket: from the fierce looking biker jacket, with big shoulders, to cropped boleros, a short leather jacket is a must have item for a modern wardrobe, and not just for teens.

Military: army jackets go great with both flimsy dresses and skinny jeans while golden buttons add a touch of bold sophistication.

One-shoulder dresses: a day-wear frock or an evening gown, this cut gives instant chic. The one-sleeve look is too 80s for me but the asymmetric draping on one shoulder has the quality of a classic.

Peg-leg or carrot pant: is the ultimate cut for trousers. Wide at hips, narrow at the ankles they do real wonders for shorter or curvier women, creating long, slim legs. High heels are a must.

Prints: the futuristic trend continues with these digital manipulated patterns.

Prom mini dress: strapless, short and puffy is the definition of this ultimate flirty cocktail dress.

Skinny jeans: thought this cut would go away? Distressed denim and leather are top choices for this bad-girl look.

White&Black: the classical (non)chromatic duo gets new look with these “boarding-school” dresses. Black top&white pant is one of my favorite combos and metallic accessories add the right amount of glam.

Nature Walk

Leading to the railroad tracks…I couldn’t help but sulk in nostalgia.  As a ‘kid’ everything was an adventure; railroad tracks were my favorite.  I always imagined the places they led to and the people on board the train that await their destinations.  Now that I’ve grown up the thoughts of people and the places they are always in a rush to never left my mind.  I believe everyone has some sort of story and always an interesting one to a destination.

Have a Seat

A little stroll through Gresham’s Down Town– I decided to snap this picture.

Using curves in Adobe Photoshop CS3 i contrasted the blue to bring out how bitterly cold it was on this December day.
